UX Researcher

Job Summary

As a UX Researcher, you'll play a pivotal role in understanding our users' behaviors, needs, and motivations to inform our product design and development decisions. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, conducting a variety of qualitative and quantitative research activities to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities 

  •  Planning and Executing Research Studies: Develop comprehensive plans for conducting user research studies, selecting appropriate methodologies, and defining research objectives.
    Execute research activities such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and preferences.

  • Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to align research efforts with product goals and priorities. Identify key research questions and prioritize research activities based on the needs of the product team.

  • Advocating for the User: Champion the user perspective throughout the product development process, ensuring that user needs and insights are considered in design decisions. Translate research findings into actionable recommendations that drive improvements to the user experience.

  • Synthesizing and Communicating Insights: Analyze research data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights. Create clear and concise reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and refine research methodologies and processes to improve the effectiveness and impact of research efforts. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies in UX research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field.

  •  3-5 Years of proven experience conducting user research in a product or design-driven organization.

  • Proficiency in a wide range of research methods, both qualitative and quantitative, with the ability to select and apply the most appropriate methods for each research question.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with UX design principles, usability best practices, and prototyping tools is preferred.
