Compliance Manager Assistant
Job Summary
The Compliance Manager Assistant supports the daily operations of the compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) function, ensuring strict adherence to AML/CTF regulations and internal policies. This role works closely with operations and business teams to perform critical AML checks, including sanctions screening and monitoring customer transactions for high-risk or unusual activities. The assistant will help in the creation, updating, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Additionally, the role involves generating and distributing regular compliance reports as part of the Compliance Monitoring Program. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in compliance or AML roles, with a strong understanding of KYC/EDD processes for business and corporate clients and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily operations of the compliance and AML function, collaborating closely with operations and business teams.
Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations.
Perform AML checks, such as initial and ongoing sanctions screening against relevant lists to identify potential high-risk customers.
Monitor transactions and activities that deviate from a customer's typical account behavior or usual activity level.
Assist in creating and updating policies and procedures based on regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal controls.
Regularly generate and distribute reports as part of the Compliance Monitoring Program.
Provide reports to the relevant parties on a regular basis to ensure adherence to the Compliance Monitoring Program as well as the AML.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or any related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Compliance and AML role.
Experience in handling KYC/ EDD reviews of Business/ Corporate Entities clients.
Strong knowledge of FRA standards and regulations.
Experience in preparing reports.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent command of English and Arabic.
